older case xx knife

I have recently acquired a yellow case xx trapper with the pattern of
31048.can anyone give me some info on this knife?how old? app.value,
etc...thanks in advance

HEY,

Welcome to the forum. A pic would be great. Close up of the tang stamp even better, The number doesn't match the trapper name though. Case Trappers are 54 patterns. Hope we can help.

pa knives is on the money here.

I believe a 31048 is a yellow composition 4 1/8" FARMER'S pattern. The EXACT stamping , and a picture, would help us help you. :mrgreen:
