Looks to be Utica made. $40-50 range.

Thanks. It does look like a Utica knife,but it is stamped Crucible N.Y.

Crucible was a trademark of W. T. Grant, a mass-merchandise store that sold a variety of household goods. It operated from 1906 to 1976. According to Goins', your knife dates from 1926 to 1929. Utica or some other company made it on contract for W. T. Grant. Very nice knife, by the way.

Thanks for the info on w t grant and crucible knives, dc gm4. My hometown in Pa. had one where you could get just about anything. The first screwdriver my dad gave me was a grant #2 Phillips. I have one crucible knife that I'm trying to post.

Levine lists Crucible as being located in Lynn, Massachusetts from 1921-1932. I grew up in the next town(Saugus) and never heard of a knife manufacturer being there.
I have 2 Crucible knives: one is a sleeveboard jack w/ the number 29 on the pile side tang & looks like a Camillus.
The 2nd is a 3 blade stockman w/ no numbers & a matchstriker nail mark that also looks like a Camillus but w/o angled bolsters.
