Parts knives: Any interest?

I have a box of pocket knives that I collected as a kid . Back then I wasn't picky and kept ANY knife I got my hands on. And many older relitives and friends thereof gave me their old knives. Many of these knives are in bad shape. Some rust, one or more broken blades, broken or missing handle panels etc. But I think some of them are pretty old. Modst have at least one good blade. Some of the brands I have Id'd include:
Case (x2)
EC Simmons
Hibbard Spencer Bartlett
Cattagaugus
Old Timer
Imperial
Colonial
Wyeths
And one "Farmers Stock Knife" that is from the Republic of Ireland. Can't make out all the maker name. Looks JVW.......
Also several that have no or unreadable markings.
Are these knives just junk, or is the any kind of collector interest for the parts that may be salvaged? Thanks

This is NOT an advestisement! I am looking for information. I was refered here as site that was a "freindly place w/knowledgable people". I have not offered to sell ANYTHING!!!!! Not have I responded to any offers.
Now to clear things up. DO knife collectors use old broken knives for parts like gun collectors do?

obviously any parts you have would be best used to repair like knives. they sell regularly on ebay. some of the brands you list are collectible brands. condition of the remaining parts would be a big factor as well.

Welcome to AAPK!
Sorry you were misunderstood. That happens sometimes, but the people here are very knowledgeable & really quite friendly. We do get people who pop in just to try and sell things. I am afraid you may have been mistook for such a person. My personal apologies.

As a guy who has been known to repair a knife or two, I would say that most knives usually have a good part or two on them. It may just be a liner or a blade, but I NEVER throw any old knives away. I only throw the parts away when they are absolutely unusable.
The knife may be 75 years old, but someone may come along looking for a blade tor the same knife, or a backspring, or a liner, or, etc.

I would say that there are most likely some good parts in your old knives. As far as a monetary value, that is hard to say. A knife that won't bring 50¢ at a flea market may have a blade in it that is worth $100 to a collector that needs that blade to repair his rare knife.

I'd love to see some photos of them. I am an avid knife repairman, and parts knives are just as valuble to me as a solid knife would be to a collector. Usually knives in the conidition you list are used for parts to repair similar knives that are in a bit better condition, but still has good handles or good blades ect.

My apologies as well.. I began to suspect things had gone amiss when I saw that my question had been read several times w/no replies. Partly my fault for not making my intentions clear. Obviously I am interested in selling them. But I didn't know if there was any interest or market for them.
I still like knives, but pretty much limit myself to good condition knives these days. I moved on to gun collecting when I got old enough and had forgotten all about these old broken knives until my folks recently found them and gave them back to me. There are also some in VG condition that I'm keeping.
I'll se what I can do about posting pics on the proper forum. I'm not interested in trying to get rich off them. But would rather someone who could use them , had them. Thanks for the info. and the welcomes.

Sounds like the kind of guy I'd like to see get them.
I've noticed some pocket knife collectors at gunshows. Do any of you set up at gunshows like the Wannenmacher show in Tulsa?
