New Here! South Louisiana.
Hello, name is Joe. I am 36 and live in south Louisiana. Have always had pocket knives over the years so a collection was sort of naturally formed. My true love is Case XX knives. That is what was always in my grandpa's pocket for as long as I knew. I got his when he passed.
What started me really collecting knives rather than just getting them to use was a few years ago an Ace Hardware near me was going out of business. I ended up purchasing their large store display and the few knives that was still in the case. It stands about 6' tall and has three doors with six different displays and storage behind them. I have been trying to fill in all the slot cutouts in the doors. Still have a ways to go but it's been fun looking for them so far.
We try to take a yearly trip to the Smoky Mountains and I usually pick up a few knives from places up that way.
Anyways, I'm here and just thought I'd say hello.

Thanks. I was happy to pay 40.00 for it plus bought the remaining three knives. From time to time I would buy one and hope it fit in one of the slots. Have lots more inside that don't fit in the slots but now I have deciphered the item numbers and now know exactly what I need to fill in the remaining slots. It's a slow but fun process. Put 5 in it from our trip to the Smokies last week.

It was a lucky find. It was not the first time I stumbled upon a great deal. I picked this full display up from another place going out of business due to the husband passing away. The knives were in the sun so some of the handles are a tad faded but still a nice pick up I feel at 100.00.

Darn it! Any idea why it keeps turning them on their side? They are not that way when I post them.
Darn things going to dump all my knives out.

Hi Joe,
Welcome to AAPK. You've got some really nice displays and I know from personal experience that it's fun to fill one of those displays. I've got one Case display I've managed to fill all but one of the slots thus far and I've got a Schrade Scrimshaw display that is on hold with only one knife in it to date. (Hey I can't do everything all at the same time.
)
Glad to have you join us. Make yourself at home.
