Hawbaker Muskie

I just ordered a pretty little Fight'n Rooster Hawbaker muskrat - it's got a turkish clip on one end, and a long lambsfoot blade at the other. Loveliest little blue bone scales you ever saw.

But, does anyone know how the Hawbaker muskie got its name? Is it a particular Hawbaker pattern or is the connection more entertaining?

invented or designed by stanley hawbaker, an owner of a trapper supply. dropped into a muskrat frame and violla, the hawbaker muskrat.

Theres a good story about Mr. Hawbaker and his knives in Jim Sargents 6 th edition. Some of the earlier Case Hawbakers are valued at over $1000.
