My First Schatt&Morgan!
Woo hoo! A Goldenroot peanut. I understand the Schatt fans now, its a beauty!
So nice my wife said I couldn't possibly use so pretty a knife and asked for a Schatt Stag peanut for herself.
So, two Schatt converts made, and I guess I'll have to get a less pretty peanut for my EDC and a stag S&M peanut for her EDC.
Also...before I forget...thanks, knowtracks!

I agree marcinek. All the knives I buy are closet queens!
I can't bring myself to put a really nice knife to use! And that's just stupid ain't it?
Bought a Case 2005 yellow composition stockman as an edu today and immediatatly stropped it on my stone, cut open a couple of boxes, and put it in my pocket. Now it is sharpened, used, and carried!
It's well worth the $28.00 I paid for it and it will be a great every day user. Kelley

Theres not a bad knife among all those S&M Premiers, Jim.
Gunsmoke, I agree. I'm EDCing a Eye Brand minitrapper right now. I love the thing! Between that knife, my SAK, and the Case Red Bone CV Peanut I'm about to get, I, realistically, am more than covered for nice reasonably priced EDCs that will do anything that I need as an urban dweller/office worker.
Of course, that's not going to stop me from wanting some big, beautiful Schatt Goldenroot Reverse Gunstock Stockman in my pocket.
A sane person would get one and put it in a nice display case with my peanut.
But you AAPK folks have made me nuts. Thanks, guys.

I've spent more money in the last few months than I care to think about! Sir Wolf (El Lobo) says it's cuz I'm easy. I told him MAY BE........ BUT BY GOSH I AIN'T CHEAP!!!
Stand your ground marcinek. Lie to your wife and children. Buy more knives, and die a happy man!

Gunsmoke and useem...my wife doesn't mind me buying knives (she buys and collects plenty of stuff herself)...
The problem is that she wants/takes my knives!
She's not into knives of course...knives are silly.
Until I get one! Like the peanut. She loves it, says its too nice to use, and puts in on a spot in our living room bookshelf for us to look at. Which, of course, is probably the sensible thing to do.
A while back I got a Spyderco Kerambit. I came home a couple days later and she was playing with it. It now lives on her nightstand. I can live with that logic.
But, I think I see a trend. And, like I said, she wants a Schatt Stag Peanut for herself.
Its all pretty funny...I think you AAPK folk have turned her into a knife fan through some weird osmosis.

An ode to our own Gunsmoke47.....
Know it sounds funny
But I just can't stand the pain
Girl I'm leaving you tomorrow
Seems to me girl
You know I've done all I can
You see I begged, stole
And I borrowed
Ooh, that's why I'm easy
I'm easy like Sunday morning
That's why I'm easy
I'm easy like Sunday morning
Why in the world
Would anybody put chains on me?
I've paid my dues to make it
Everbody wants me to be
What they want me to be
I'm not happy when I try to fake it!
No!
Ooh,that's why I'm easy
I'm easy like Sunday morning
That's why I'm easy
I'm easy like Sunday morning
I wanna be high, so high
I wanna be free to know
The things I do are right
I wanna be free
Just me, babe!
That's why I'm easy
I'm easy like Sunday morning
That's why I'm easy
I'm easy like Schatt & Morgan
Because I'm easy
Easy like Schatt & Morgan
Because I'm easy
Easy like Schatt & Morgan
.....with apologies to Keith Carradine.

You're killin me here Sir Wolf! I was browsing ebay as I always do, singin the ode to me over and over in my head, and the next thing I know, I have received 3 invoices from PayPal that I used the "Buy It Now" feature on 3 different Schatt & Morgan knives!
NEVER underestimate the power of suggestion!
I really am easy!
