Prayer for a special friend

I have a very special friend that has experienced all sorts of medical issues over the years. He's in his upper 70's and has had another heart attack. Too weak for surgery , he has already had bypass surgery and stents in the past. He told his wife he is tired and ready to go. He is a great Christian friend and I would ask that y'all pray that God will be merciful to him. Our desire would be that he be able to overcome this, but he is in the Lord's hands and he'll be as the old gospel song says, "a winner either way, if I go or if I stay." Pray for God's grace to be on his wife and children during this time.

Sounds like he is tired of the fight. That's sad. I will say a prayer for him and his family.

Update on our friend: This evening he was sitting up in a chair, still very weak, on top of the heart attack there is a kidney issue and congestive heart failure now after the heart cath.
Continue to pray for him and his family if you will.

His name is Wendell. He's a special man that has been a best friend to me and my family for around 20 years, he said last evening he appreciated all who were praying for him.

Update on my friend Wendell: He's at home, not exactly "out of the woods" yet, but slowly improving with the Lord's hand upon him. Found out when we visited him at the hospital that he drove the car to the hospital, he's a tough old bird and a little hard headed like some of the rest of us.
Continue to pray that his health to be restored. He has been very active and it'll be hard for him to take it easy. He and I have been on the same hunting lease for close to 20 years.

Wendell update:
Visited him today, he had walked to the mailbox and around his shop. The home health nurse visited today a said he was doing better, also the physical therapist visited while we were there. He gave him some light exercises and told him to crank up the caloric intake. He has no appetite, but said he would sure love a pot of Miss Joy's venison stew. It will be delivered tomorrow.
In all this, my friend acknowledges the Lord's hand on his life and is at perfect peace with whatever happens. He says if it's the Lord's will, he hopes to still enjoy some of the blessings that has come his way over the years.
Please continue to pray for his complete recovery.

I would like to report that my friend is slowly but steadily improving from his heart problems! The doctor has told him to be very careful as he had suffered considerable heart damage. He is walkin' to the mail box, messin' with his '65 F-100 and was able to attend church the last couple of weeks. In fact he taught a Sunday school class yesterday morning.
Thank y'all for praying for Wendell Hodges as you did, continue to remember him as he still isn't 100%. He's about 10 years older than me, so you know he's gettin' to be one of the old guys

God still answers prayers!

I will continue to remember him daily in prayer before the throne of God.

Gotta keep them old Ford guys running as well as the old Ford's.
