Question about my first Queen

I just received a brand new Queen Mustkrat and I'm generally impressed by the quality of this knife. Fit and finish are very nice and the bone is gorgeous. I have one question for you guys who are familiar with the new Queens:

The blades are tight when open and they snap closed pretty well; however, there seems to be a half-stop, but it is very weak--almost non-existant. Is this typical of these knives or do I have one with a lazy spring?

I was whining the other day about no half-stop on a Schrade 787 only to find out that, by design, it has no half-stops.

I'm not the one to answer your question on a Queen Knife, ( or any other brand) but I also a have a Queen muskrat with no feeling of a half stop at all.

you can look at the blade and tell if it has half stops. it will be squarw.

I'm such an expert on knife construction.

Looking at it more closely, I guess it is rounded--a little. Makes for kind of a cheap feeling, IMO. Seems like they would make it rounded for a nice smooth pull all the way open, or completely square for a solid half-stop.

I've got about a dozen of my knives on my desk in front of me and this is the only one that can't make up it's mind. Never really noticed anything like this before. A half-half-stop? Such a nice knife otherwise.

I also have a shatts that is made the same way, rounded end. Learn something every day here.

I have a Boker whittler with what I call a "lazy" halfstop. To me, its not such a bad thing and not that hard to get get used to. Just MHO
