Camillus Made Knives?

El Lobo suggested I try this forum to ask about a knife I think was made by Camillus. I actually have two in question. The first is a STA SHARP S.R.&CO. 3 7/8" stag handled stockman marked on all three blades. On the back of the master blade is a pattern # 7066, also some blade etch left Sta Sharp on master blade in script. The second is a Electric Cut. Co. Walden N. Y. on the tang stamp, on three lines. It is like the first knife but does not have a pattern #. Same size same handles. The second knife the Elec. does have half stops the sta sharp does not. These knives look alike. Sorry about the pictures that is about all that I get. A couple clicks should get a larger picture.

Ha, you got me stockman!

I didn't know it was a STA-SHARP...I'm almost certain all of that mark WAS made by Camillus for Colonel Tom Dunlap and Sears Roebuck & COmpany. Started around mid 1920s until 1941. The other later Sears brands were Dunlap (surprise)...and the now famous Craftsman brand, made by several different companies for Sears. I'll add a picture of my STA-SHARP below, for comparison.

Maybe others here can add to this, and help you with the Electric...

According to Goins, Electric Cut Co, Walden, was a secondary line for New York Knife Co, roughly 1910-1920. The name was used before that, but the Walden stamping puts your knife in that time frame. I don't know if they had Camillus make some of them; it's possible!!
