My first repair!

Post by #goldpan »

Just finished my first repair! A 1930 ish IK co Imperial. She looked alright in the ebay photos. The price was right so bought her. When she arrived the master blade wobbled sideways, up and down and in and out... ::doh:: So I took her apart. I normally cut them apart with gusto since I am normally harvesting a blade. So I was a little nervous. I drilled out the blades, springs and liners. Then hand fitted the pins. Cleaned her inside and out. She shines everywhere. ::tu:: I only wish that I had nickel-silver pins instead of steel. But this old gal is going back to work with me on Monday ::super_happy::

Nice repair Randy, it looks good! ::tu::
Ya' got your feet wet, now no old broken knife will be safe around you!
Next think you know you will be selling your safe queens to buy parts knives to work on.

Watch out, it is far more addicting than just collecting knives..... I know! ::nod::
