Welcome here.
I've never seen a machete like that. How long is it? Who made it?

The blade is 13 " and 20 " overall.
I'm not sure who made it but it says China on the back.

When I was a kid my grandma had a big old knife similar in size and shape to that one. She called it a "corn knife" and said it was used many years before to harvest stalks of corn back when they put them into corn shocks. They cut the corn stalk off near the base and then bundled many stalks together and left them standing upright in the field.............don't know what that has to do with anything but that's just what your knife made me think of.

Welcome to AAPK. Glad to have you aboard.

Got a purpose in mind for that big fella or did it just strike your fancy? I do like the orange handles.

My daddy gas his daddy's old corn knife. I haven't thought about it in a long while. Thanks for reminding me!

Yes sir that looks a lot like the old corn knives I've seen here. I'd snap, that up for 50 cents all day!
