I just finished rebuilding a Schatt Harness knife for our friend sunburst, in the process I replaced the gassed candy stripe cell ('m sure he'll show the finished product when he recieves it). The very next day I recieved a Schatt doctors knife to remove the bone and install candy stripe cell. Who woulda guessed? I didn't have a large keystone shield (it was requested), so I got a picture of one, got a good idea of the shape I needed and made one out of some nickel sheet stock (if you want to get technical is was a busted liner that came off of a tested era case stockman, so it has a story behind it.) Anyway, after one scale catching on fire while trying to work it down to shape, I got'er done. I think it turned out rather nice if I do say so myself.

Still working on my picture skills, getting better or worse?

Aw come on MM you can go ahead and tell the truth that the burned out remains is what's left of the knife I sent you to fix..

Nice customizing job MM, here I am sending you a knife to get rid of candy stripe and someone else is wanting candy stripe..That's why they make so many knives in all shapes and sizes I guess..

thanks guys, yeah the shield is pretty much flush fit, double pinned too.
