Boy scout knives

Post by ken_nerve »

Anybody know of knife makers other than Camillus that make boyscout type knives? By boy scout knife I mean a knife with a main blade(duh!), can opener, bottle opener and awl. Preferbly in jigged bone or wood handles, not red cellidor scales like Swiss Army Knives.

Woah.. Those AG Russell knives are pricey. Any idea how much the Case Camp Knife costs?

Hello Ken,

Here is a link to Case Scout knives for sale at Shepherd Hills Cutlery. They are cheaper, but are not half as nice as the A.G Russle's IMO.

Mint,
Them are nice,if only they were 440c or even better, D2 blades.
Nevertheless they are very nice and just cant beat queen's S&M fit and finnish.

The Schatt and Morgan knives are awesome. Just that the can opener looks kinda weird.
Love the worm groove and mahogony designs though.
Thanks guys

I Love the older Boy Scout & Cub Scout knives, also. Most brands called them Camp knives. For the most part you have to go back to the 70's models, or earlier, to get bone handles. I have a 1989 Centenial Case boy scout knife that I love. Red bone handles,it's awesome.
Hey, where can I get some of those Schatt & Morgan Camp knives they are amazing?
If you look on ebay you can find some Great 60's & 70's Camp Kings with bone handles pretty cheap. I believe most were made by Imperial (schrade) & Western. Remington also made a few but talk about pricey. I saw one that had worn out pitted blades sell at a gun show for $235. That my 2 cents. Good luck hunting!

Thanks & God Bless!~

Those Shatt & Morgan Knives are beautiful.
I have a 74 case camp knife that had some deep rust spots on that I was able to clean up. Not to bad now. Did case ever make any with stainless blades?

Skip, Here's a site with a decent looking Remington camp knife for a resonable price. Look under "other brands" on this site. I hope Bryan doesnt mind the link here to another knife site, just trying to help out a fellow collector.

Bryan,
That is a nice Remington camp knife. I assume that it is made by Camillius.
I love that saw blade, probably works good on dry wall too.
