a couple recent ones

Post by glennbad »

Here's a couple that I recently finished.

A TL-29 that I turned into a single blade EO. Black Ash covers and a nice shield. Did some clean up on the blades.

Thank you for posting those. Have you came up with an easy way to inlay the shields? This isn't as easy as it seems, especially when they are intricate like these.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

Bob, I would be lying if I didn't say I cheat a little when it comes to shields. I have several templates and shields that I purchased. It takes a lot of the guess work out of things. You do have to prep everything properly, and the shields never fit just right, so you end up having to do some adjustments to make them work. I also do free hand inletting when I don't have a template, such as re-using an old shield. I just use a Dremel bit chucked in a drill press and a drill press vise.
