My nephew came into possession of this Randall and has asked me to find out it's age and value. I know it is very little to go on but those with expertise might be able to come up with some details . Here is some more info.
It is a 12/6 Bowie with a micarta handle.
The art work is from Brady.

Re: RANDALL
Randall Made Knives, usually referred to as Randall, is an American manufacturer specializing in custom handcrafted knives founded by Walter Doane "Bo" Randall, Jr. The factory and showroom is located in Orlando, Florida. Randall offers 28 models of knives for different applications, each customizable at the factory based on customer specification.[3] Randall hand forges nearly all models of knives instead of factory stamping,[4] one of few manufacturers to do so. Randall uses a 17-step process for making knives, which usually takes over 8 hours to complete.[5] The waiting list for obtaining a Randall from the factory is typically five years.
Two examples of Randall's Model 17 "Astro", designed for the use of astronauts, are on display in the Smithsonian Institution. The company operates its own museum, containing more than 7,000 knives and other edged weapons, and one of the world's largest collections of pocket knives.

Re: RANDALL
Your Randall is called the Little Bear model, hard to tell from the picture but the thin spacer stack was started in the early 1980's.
The color of the micarda is not one that Randall offered, probally a customor supplied, quite commom in the 80's. Sandra Brady
has a website and might be able to help you pin down a more exact date. As for value....that's anyone's guess, Randall's are not
selling for what did five years ago, but the scrimshaw will appeal to some collector's.
