Blade design on TL-29

Post by Big Bear »

I just picked up a Camillus TL-29 at an estate sale. I have a question about the knife blade. About half an inch from the tip is a notch. I have never see one with this notch. I thought maybe someone had broken it trying to pry or bad job of putting an edge on. However there is currently one on ebay and the guy selling it says it has a nick about half an inch from the tip. Is this just a fluke or was this knife made this way? I had a craftsman for years and it didn't have this notch. Any thoughts? Thanks

Thanks Jeff, I thought maybe that was the case, it was to perfect to be damage. Anybody have any history on this notch? I have seen a lot of TLs without it.
