Warm ::welcome:: BC Bob. that is a typical German pattern knife despite the English sounding name. Not to be confused with Sheffield maker Wade and Butcher for e.g. Goins lists Wade bros as a trademark of the German firm Theil & Quack. 1866-1890. A grand old knife made for Birks in its original box...excellent find IMO. . :) s-k

Hi Welcome;
IMO yours would be a swell center pen,Jenny Lind,Buttercup Ladies or Gentlemen's Knife. Etc. different sizes dictated name. The bulbous end is where balloon came from. Fancy in excellent could be around a hundred.
If you find someone who wants it that badly. Same as all merchandise willing buyer willing seller dictates price.
