Queen Blade Steel

The Queen Cutlery Company manufactured knives in Titusville Pennsylvania for 96 years. The company opened its only factory there in 1919 and commenced to make some of the best US crafted cutlery you will find. Unfortunately, the Titusville manufacturing plant closed down in 2018.

Queen Blade Steel

People have asked on this forum when Queen used 440C blade steel. I have always said that 440C was used up through the late 70's, that QUEEN STEEL was 440C up til that time then at some point changed over to 440A.

This knife is from 1981 and has the 440C in the blade etch. I have seen a few Queen knives marked that way from the late 70's but this is the first one from the 80's that I have seen.
