Some years ago I acquired some Durafil. It was profiled plastic strip that fitted between the liners of a folder up against the spring and stopped the blade hitting the spring on closing. Not all folders have a kick on the tang to do this. Now I cannot find it anywhere, so if anyone has a bit to sell (or something else that does the job) I would be grateful. IIRC it came in two thicknesses and I need a bit of the thinner one.

Don't know if it would work for what you're wanting, but Jantz sells a vulcanized spacer material that sounds like it would do. They have a couple of different thicknesses and it comes in 5" x 10" sheets that can be cut down to any width of strips you'd need. It's basically the same material Western used as colored spacers on their stack handled fixed blades.
