WTB/T: sodbuster or similar

After totally destroying my Boker sodbuster, I'm need of another similar knife. Think "large sodbuster" or similar size. The replacement needs to have a flatground, non-stainless steel blade. No yellow handles, though synthetic (solvent-resistant) handles would be a plus, as would a hole for a lanyard.

So what do you have that might work?

I have an ag russell rancher or cowboy, cant remember
which. I have the smaller of the two, black micarta handles.

Really enjoy mine, the handles are better and it rides

This has always been one of my favorite Sodbusters and it is a supper knife.It is a 1970s Fight'n Rooster.You can still find them on the web from time to time.My first choice of a new Sodbuster would be a GEC 715112 I don't have one but they look to be a great knife and there 01 tool steel blades are just right for the job of a Sodbuster and for $50.00 you can't beat the price.Good luck and let us know what you go with.

Actually MB, they are Delrin which I would take over any conventional plastic anytime. The stuff wears like iron (almost).

Thanks MB, but as you suggest, I'm looking for the larger frame. Delrin or micarta seem to be the better options for handles for me, given my tendency to occasionally throw the knife in a parts washer to clean it up.

Bear and Son has a large farm hand (slippie and lockback) with 1095 steel and a G-10 handle but I think it only comes in yeller.

They are however in the under $30 range.

I don't have one to sell or trade but I thought i'd throw the info out there.
