Vintage Fixed Blade Knife Or Bayonet

Hi recently found in my uncle's garage in an old box. Its doesnt have any markings on the blade or sheath so I cant figure it out. Not sure if this is a bayonet or knife. My uncle told me he got it a yard sale 10 years back and just couldnt find any info on it. Does anyone recognize the blade and maybe could help date it or I.D. it. Thanks

Looks like a ,"theatre" type knife made from an old bayonet blade.Whoever did it looks like they did a decent job.Could be WWII vintage but it's almost impossible to tell.Nice piece though.

Just adding to what knife7 said, it may once have been a bayonet but now it's a knife. Bayonets have a means of attachment to a rifle, which this knife doesn't have, or at least I don't see anything in your pictures. Cool knife!

looks like a bayonet that had lost it's original handle & locking lug that was either at guard or back of knife. very few sporting knives or even issue military knives had such severe fullers.--HiPower

It is cut-down M1 Garand bayonet similar to a Danish 1955 FKF (6.5") modified for use in the Korean War. Yes, a "Theater" trench art technically. I have attached a photo of a similar blade so much alike as far as the grind near the tip:
