Pickin' Oranges.......

Post by Hogkiller »

Custom folder by Bill Wilhelm of Australia. Dirk got ahold of this one for me also and replaced the original handles with orange G-10 and added blue and white liners. The bolsters have been jigged and stippled and the blade has been stippled to mimic "wootz" steel. I dont know what "wootz" steel is but it sure looks COOOLLLL!!!

Wootz Steel is TRUE DAMASCUS made in ancient India vs. the pattern welded metals we call Damascus today. Which by the way is not true damascus, it's pattern welded steel. Google wootz steel, there are a lot of good pages. Wootz is about 1.5% carbon, interesting process.
