What a great day!

Post by ducks_and_bucks66 »

Received some great items in the mail today. Got my Schrade MA-5 I've been looking to get but the one that took the cake is pictured below (sorry, I take horrible pictures). This one was done by our very own Orvet. I'd seen pictures, but holding it in your hand does much more justice to this beautiful piece. Thanks Dale!

Ducks_and_bucks66 is that a ONE of a KIND ????

Top Notch Job and Knife.

What a great day!!!.... for me too. ::ds::

This Old Schrade 296Y was missed used in the factory (After they closed the doors and called her factory junk). ::tear::
I just like the big trapper so much I had to dress her up and even make her bigger with Sambar Stag.
Check out the sea serpent in the Sambar Stag? 8) ::groove::
She now is a One of a Kind and fit for any showcase.

She was done by OUR ONWN KNIFE ARTIST "COLIN PATERSON"

Who is that in the turquoise shrit?

Ken,
I did some looking at Mr. Patterson's work. He does a nice job with knives as well. I'm real proud of owning one of Dale's knives and will try and do it justice with my collection! Mr Patterson does a lot of Scrimming, too if I remember correctly. He does a great job with that as well.

Johnnie,
Actually the Barlow that I made (the first post by ducks_and_bucks66), has a Camillus main blade & back spring. The knife started life as a Camillus TL-29. It had a bit of rough use in it's youth so I made new bolsters & liners for it. The only thing original about the knife is the blade & back spring, everything else I made.

Ken,
That is a very nice 296. Colin did an excellent job. Great stag & nice file work. ::tu::

smiling-knife, johnnierotten, ducks_and_bucks66; thanks for the kool words. Yes Colin did a lot of nice scrimshaw. I have one of them too, but it is not a Schrade. It was the AAPK give-a-way Case.

I am the only one that see's the sea serpent in the Sambar Stag?
I thought that would be a big hit but I was wrong again.
