Hey Earl____ #748212 is the same as the ""Blade Forums knife""___Muskrat Clip & Wharncliffe secondary blade**** at least that's what the number indicates______ thing they did with the #42's____the Trapper had the ""Muskrat Clip"" #428212___Trader had regular clip #421111L

Dang I'm all confused Monk........sorry
So the 3rd # in pattern identifies main/primary blade,4th number?
ok I see.....4th # indicates # of blades,so what indicates Wharncliffe on the 74

Re: New Great Eastern Production Updates
Hi Guys, the 85 JBF Champlin knife will be a spear blade similar to the one shown in the ad on the GEC site. The difference is that the secondary blade is in the front like it usually is on older knives. We will be doing a clip blade down the line a bit with the same stamping but the etch might be different. We need to see how this first offering goes and decide where to go from there. We have many patterns we would like to use and most are patterns that GEC has not made yet. Please email me if you want to talk about the 85 or any other questions you might have about what we are trying to do.
All the best, Mike
