I get bored with a lot of the material they sell that I have no interest in. I do still watch quite a bit it though. In fact, it is on right now.

I don't have satellite but I use my internet connection to view it. JohnnieR, if you have a hi speed internet connection and no satellite that is the way to go. They sometimes have some good prices. Of course, they sell alot of the low end tactical and their own Rough Rider stuff, but most of the prices are the same as their catalog though sometimes some knives come through that never made the catalog.

I've watched a few shows of this and that. Saw too much Chinese JUNK, bad prices, poor quality, HATE Frost stuff, and saw at least one knife that was misrepresented. I have no use for these shows, seen more than just one program, 3 different ones I believe. I prefer quality to the massive piles of junk metal that I've seen on some of these shows. Decided I won't waste my time with them. Boring as all get out. ::barf:: ::barf::

I go through a cable company here in Tucson(Cox cable) I have every channel available plus high speed internet service...I don't understand what you mean by going through your high speed connection...is there a web site or something?

PS: Do they ever sale any US or German made knives?

I saw one that had 6 first generation Bulldog Cattle Kings like we have been discussing lately. They were selling stag Bulldog Cattle Kings stag for $109.99 each. The Bowtie had Bulldog across the bowtie so it was not the first generation but a third generation knife since they started doing that in 1993.

The show I saw had Jay Parker and I remember thinking that, if that's Jim Parker's son he should know better than that. ::disgust:: Only saw that show once, that was enough. I think that's SMKW, not sure.

BTW, how would they have 6 stag first generation Bulldog Cattle Kings on hand, they're scarce. ::hmm:: ::hmm::

Hey johnnierotten my man,

Here is the website...

http://www.eknifeworks.com/webapp/eComm ... tvshow.jsp

They do have a webcast (Banner on HOME page) at the same time that you can pick up over the internet, so you might give that a try, as I don't believe it's carried by Cox Cable.

Just as information...not my cup of Mezcal.

Howdy countrydanny,

I see you are a Texas knifer & that's a good thing but now that you mention the "SMKW" show I must caution my Texas knife brother when or if you do buy from them, know what your buying first before you spend your hard earned knife buying money because as Hukk was telling you, they misrepresent a lot of knives to new comers in the hobby all the time on their show + they sell a lot of Chinese knife products which put the hurt on American & German knife makers in the buyers market! Myself, I sometimes watch the show for entertainment when I'M board but never buy from them, I really get a kick out of that Jay Parker as he really knows how to pull a new comers leg for sure with his false knowledge, in fact, they all remind me of used car salesmen, yes, I'M sure of it!!!

ok ,i like opinions and input, but when you really get to the bottom line
of it all,if your selling its about makeing a profit, and if your buying,
well you know how that goes, anyone, want to sell me a 2,000 dollar
custom piece of cutlery for 200.00 dollars,im a buyer, but i really dont think that i have to go there. as for me i try to stay mainly on the german
material, i have one case in my lot,as far as smkw ,like everyone else
selling, its the dollar that they are looking for ,hey this is america
land of the free and home of the dollar, and you also can send smkw a email,to voice your opinions, and everyone has one im sure, they dont
send big guys to your house, to twist anyones arm, to get them to buy thier products, and again this is america, you have a choice, and the
choice is yours.
thanks,

Danny,

This is true, everyone does have the choice to buy what ever knife that suites them! ....You are also correct in stating that "SMKW" has the right to make that almighty dollar here in this great country we live in but the way this old Texan sees it, I also believe in the term, (((knife ethics!))) With that said, do we see "SMKW" using good knife ethics when selling knives that are being misrepresented, I would have to say NO on this & so that makes me think that I could never trust a seller like that! ....The hobby is ever growing with hundreds or maybe even thousands of new knifers every year, when we all first started out collecting none of us knew very much in regards to knife history, what knives are really collectibles, long term investments in knives that will grow in value! With that said, I like to watch out for the new guy to the hobby so he doesn't get burned & that is one of the reasons Bryan has this knife site, to help with the proper reading material for the new knifer that wants to make a good investment in knives that will grow in value through the years! When a seller uses misrepresentation when selling the buyer gets burned every time & so what you have is a seller that does not really care for his customers, why not use good knife ethics when selling, you will have a happy customer very time & a good reputation in the hobby as someone that is trusted that uses good knife ethics (the way it should be)!!! ....Danny, you asked for a opinion about these guys & this is mine!

there is a lot of truth in what you had to say, and i do value
yours and everyones opinion, and i agree without proper knowledge,
and experience, its easy to be misled. as for as myself i have only
been collecting for 2 years, and i am really trying to get serious
about it,and you are right they should know about what they are selling
and not take advantage of people who are not knife savy,
thanks alot,
