Is the etched side of the blade on a Vintage R1123 supposed to be crocus polished?

I did some searching in my books and found a note that both blades were Blue Glazed.

It was my understanding that all acid etching was to be done on a crocused polished blade.

Robert that was my thinking also. I saw a nice 1123 that was etched on what I thought was a
glazed blade.. I thought it had been redone. In a reproduction catalog #C30 pg 62 it says
"both blue glazed" I don't know how accurate these catalogs are. It is all I have to go by.

I have a Remington Bullet Knife with the R1123 stamped on one side of the blade and on the other side it is a circle with remington in the center, made U.S.A. on the outside of the circle. The other blade is stamped 1977 on one side, with a circle that has remington in the center, made U.S.A on the opposite side. It has a brown and cream colored stag handle.
I can't find any information about this knife anwhere. Does anyone know anything about this knife, it would be helpful. Thanks.
