I lucked onto an old Western whittler pattern. Very well built knife. Good snap on all the blades. Super fine blade steel that will get so sharp it will cut the red off an apple an never touch the peel. Think I'm going to send this on to Rob (whitebuffalo) for some nice handles after the nice job he did on the last Western I sent him. The handles on the whittler are OK but I just like Rob's work. Hi Trevor. Glad to see you back. The closed length is the same as the Schrade Walden 804 whittler pattern knife, around 3 3/4 inches I believe. I've put the Western whittler side by side with a Schrade Walden whittler pattern knife and they are almost the exact same knife. Makes me wonder if there was ever any contract making going on between the two knife companys.
