Rat-3 Boot Knife

Post by sunburst »

Well I have a new addition to the growing number of EDC knives. Matter of fact this boot knife will go nicely with the 2 slipjoints I always carry and no one will ever know.. ::sneaky::

I was looking for a nice affordable boot knife and after comparing many knives these Rat-3 knives are highly regarded and almost revered among it's fans. It has D2 tool steel and micarta handles and measures at a hair under 8". What I like about it is the knife can be carried in any direction without falling out of the sheath thanks to the locking design system the sheath uses..Oh yeah it comes scary sharp

I like this so much I just ordered a Rams horn edition version that will work perfect with the sheath I currently have..If you are in the market for something similar I highly recommend checking these out... :)

Well if I have to personally stick a big lizard I sure hope it's with a piece of lead and not one of my blades..  I am looking forward to maybe skinning one or two with this blade if given the chance..

Thanks guys..

Hey Mitch,

I am leaving for California next week on business for a few days, it will be my first time in the California Republic..

I'll do my best Ken but you know how work seems to get in the way of pleasure.. :)

Yikes Mitch I have had 4 wisdom teeth pulled out on the same day and it was not too bad I sure didn't want company.. I'll be in Fresno for three days and then take the red eye back to the Sunshine State. I actually did consider contacting you to try to hook up but I will be traveling with someone else as well on the business trip...I will hold you to that beer though on a future visit.. ::nod::

Regards,

MITCH RAPP DENTIST???

It's time to give the beer a kick and move up to Crown Royal or Jack.
Or drink them mixed???? That should kill the Dentist pain. Just do not drive. ::nod::

That would be very nice if you and Sunburst could hook up. ::ds::

8) Ok! Sunburst fair enough. Fresno is a a pretty fair distance from where I live. If you ever do come to Los Angeles or the surrounding area, we will get together and I'll spring for drinks since you will be a guest in my State. Also maybe you can bring some of those knives you have been posting, that way if I get you Drunk I might be able to palm a few of them when your not looking.

Yeah I figured it was a pretty long trip out to the Fresno area which is one of the reasons we will have to catch up in the future. Oh yeah sure I'm gonna carry my knives with me ::paranoid:: while we are sharing a beer together..I might have to be a tea toting knifer on that particular night.. 8)

Take care and rest up if you can after the wisdoms are pulled it helps to slow down the bleeding and decrease the throbbing... ::doh::
