just got These Yesterday

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

just got These Yesterday

Post by singin46 »

1st is a 2046 Moss Green Bottom Bone Swell Center Moose made in 1990.
Marked no. 0896 on the bolster and includes the box and COA. Puchased on the bay for a little under a 100. felt like a deal to me. 2nd is a 30109 Rogers
Bone Three Backspring Whittler also made in 1990. Also from Ebay, has the box but no COA, a little more than 100. on this one. I think I'm becoming a sucker for these patterns and colors.  Both have fluted and pinched bolsters. Maybe I can find a COA for the 30109 once I'm in the club. The pics do not show these great, because I SUCK AT THIS!

Enjoy Friends,

Perry

Howdy Perry,

Excellent knife buys my friend ::tu:: , they all look very, very nice Perry! ::nod:: ....On your knife shots, try taking them outside with the Sun shinning bright but under a patio or something that shields direct sunlight on the knife so you don't get any glare from the blades, shields & bolsters. On inside shots, try using one of those "soft", low light bulbs. Also when shooting, try holding your camera 25 to 28 inch's away from the knife while using the still close up setting & bump the magnification up to 3X or 4X (these things work pretty good for me but you will have to play around with it a little before you get what you want) ....After you get into the CCC you will be able to get three types of COA's for your knives from John,

1.) The small, stock, factory COA

2.) The CCC, 8 1/2" X 11" letter of documentation done on a high quality parchment paper.

3.) The old style, 8 1/2" X 11" Parker letter of documentation done on White paper.
