Help me? pocket knife repair.
i got a pocket knife from a friend on my birthday. A few days ago i had lost a screw and a bar that holds the blade strait. i em unable to fix it, for i don't have the tools to do so. i really wanna fix it, any suggestions? or anywhere i can get it repaired? Please help I'm begging

I don't want you to think you're being ignored. Can you post the brand name of the knife and a clear closeup of the tang stamp? I think you'll get more and better advice that way.
I've enhanced your picture and I'll tell you up front, it looks like one of the multitudes of Chinese knives I see all the time on eBay. I may be wrong about that but I don't think so. If it were a mainstream knife such as Kershaw, Case, Cold Steel, Queen, etc I would recommend contacting the manufacturer but if it's a Pride or one of the many which don't have a brand on them, I'm not sure I can come up with a course of action. There are several knife mechanics on this web site but it would cost you more than the knife is worth to get it fixed and they may not be able to anyway because of a lack of parts availability.

The missing screw wouldn't be much of an issue, those are fairly easy to come up with. It's the missing lock bar that's the real problem. It would require an exact factory replacement or a custom made one to fit. The later would be fairly expensive.
Your best coarse of action would probably be, to get with your buddy and find out where he got the knife. It may be possible to send or take it back for a replacement. If it is a name brand knife, they will stand behind their product. If not, and it was purchased through a reputable dealer, they will still usually take care of replaceing a faulty product.
