Need help knowing history of a pocket knife

Post by mike 500 »

Hello: This is my first time on this message board. My Dad recently gave me a pocket knife that my grandfather gave him. Since I never met my grandfather and now that my Dad is dying it means alot to me.
I would like to know a little bit about its history and value.

Could some of you give me some help? This pocket knife was made by cattarugus cutlery co. It is about 5" long and has an adjustable
wrench on the end. It also serves as a pocket knife and has a blade for a opener/screwdriver. I don't have scanner otherwise I would display a
picture. I don't wish to sell it , just would like to know about it.
Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike,

Here is a link to a Cattaraugus "wrench" knife that recently sold on eBay. It may give you an idea what yours is worth. Does that one look like the one you have? I think they were used a lot in the printing industry way back when.
