"Sunshine" Barlow

APattern 51 Camillus Barlow that I have just finished customizing. The only thing lacking is the "custom" etch to show that the knife has been reworked.
Are the blades mint? Not quite but they are very very good and have never been sharpened - I will leave them in this condition unless the buyer specifically wishes me to sharpen the knife. I did clean and polish them up a bit, but they were in very good condition to start off with. Other than that I took it apart and gave it a good clean up and replaced the scales with Yellow G10 which I gave a high gloss CA treatment. And I tightened up the riveting a little - the knife was quite loose to start off with. Right now the knife is still a little tight and doesn't quite snap as when I got it, but I am sure it will loosen up with a little use.

The yellow looks a little pale in some of the pics - this is due to a combination of them being taken with a phone and me being an .... well, let's just say, not so good with a camera..

Thank you gentlemen, I appreciate. FRJ, I am sure you could do this too - time is the thing, like you say. But make some, it doesn't take that long - I call these my coffee break knives - I sit and sand and polish and tweak them during coffee breaks!

When you can find a Barlow with solid bolsters, they're great candidates for re-handles, and fun to work on too. Good job !

I recently did one where the bolsters were hollow. I melted solder in them to fill them up, then I could use a regular pinning method. It really added some beef to the project.
