Buck 2904 question

Hoyt Buck produced the first Buck Knife in 1902. Hoyt and his son Al moved to San Diego and set up shop as H.H. Buck & Son in 1947. Al Buck revolutionized the knife industry in 1964 with the infamous Model 110 Folding Hunter. The company's innovative history and attention to quality have made for many great collectible knives.

Knife,

I don't think anyone is going to reply because the number you have given is not a common way Buck knifes are listed here. Usually they go by the model number stamped or etched on the blade. Your number appears to be a box number or inventory number. Perhaps you can find a photo on the net and give another name description. I tried to scan the Buck catalog listing but did not see this number.

Thank you for replying. The number I stated was stamped into the tang of the knife. The knife is an assisted opener similar in size to a Kershaw Leek and has sort of a blue green anodized frame. It could even be made of titanium as it is extremely light.Looks like a very well made knife;I just wondered if the price was out of line as the store has a habit of being high priced on many items.I'll check it out again to make sure I got the number right.

I am getting slower in my near social security age. I finally figured out the situation.

You are taking about a Model 290 , Buck Rush, the 4 is actually a date code likely a C with a dot in the center(2011) or maybe a arrow pointing left with a slash in center (2010). Comes in midnight blue and platnimum, smooth and partial serrated. $50 new in the box would be close. Do a search on the Buck Rush on the bay and see what you find.

just call me sherlock 300.

Again thank you for the prompt reply. The store has two of them at $57 apiece so they aren't too far off and they are NIB.Maybe I will pick one up as it seems to be a nice EDC size.
