Case American Indian Canoes.

Post by Sasquach »

SMKW had these knives made on a SFO around 1986. They commemorate six different tribes. Cherokee, Apache, Navajo, Seminole, Mohican, and Sioux. I am trying to collect the whole set. I am still looking for the Apache and Sioux editions. They are canoe patterns with red synthetic handles, numbered bolsters, arrow head shields, and master blades etched with the name of the tribe. They are one, two, or three blade versions depending on the tribe.

Has anyone been able to find out how many of each tribe were made? I would love to have that information. I was told that these knives were an SFO for SMKW and I have emailed SMKW asking this question but have never gotten an answer. Each knife is serialized on the front bolster so one would assume there was only a specific number made. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated
