Help with Case fixed blade
I had a Case fixed blade that was handed down from my grandfather and stolen out of my truck. I am looking for another without any luck. If someone can tell me what I had, I may be able to research the internet for another. It had a shiny blade that looked chrome. It had only the word CASE without any XX or numbers. I have seen a few on e-bay that resembled it but not the same handle. The handle appeared to be plastic with black and silver flakes in it. I researched CASE handles and the only thing close is the red mottled. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I may not get my original back but at least I can get the same model.

Based on that handle it was a 1940's or earlier knife. Impossible to really tell more without more info.Chickenhawk wrote:I had a Case fixed blade that was handed down from my grandfather and stolen out of my truck. You could review the fixed blade section in Sargent's book to see if you recognize a similar knife.

Re: Help with Case fixed blade
I appreciate it. There is a vintage Case Sportmans knife on ebay that resembles it except for the blade finish and handle. I will try to locate the book, see if I can find it and will get back with you. Do you think it will be hard to replace?
