Kutmaster (big pic warning)

Post by wildcat »

I picked this up at a gun show last weekend. Can anyone tell me anything obout Kutmaster and when they quit making. A prelim search seems to show that they were part of Schrade Walden, that about all i got though.

Thanks

The Kutmaster name still exists as an importer/distributor of knives made in Asia:

I have not heard of a Schrade connection though. I'm sure a more wise member will help with a better answer for you.

Kutmaster is a brand of the Utica Cutlery Company, and has been since 1937. I'm borrowing a webpage here, just to post the company information...

Perhaps the confusion is with Keen Kutter. Keen Kutters were at one time made by Walden Knife Company.

Here is a picture from a 1924 catalog.
