Stockman New or Used

The KA-BAR brand originated as a trademark of the Tidioute Cutlery Company. Tidioute was later taken over & renamed the Union Cutlery Company which continued making the brand until Union eventually adopted it as the company name in 1952. Cutco Corporation later acquired the company in 1996.

Stockman New or Used

Post by justold52 »

I have a KaBar in the brown box Stockman Large Stag made in 1982 #2357
I was told it is used. But looks new to me and I bought it as new.

Was told that 3/4 of the main blade ground up or off.

I only see one very small spot that looks like it was bumped on the sharping wheel. Could have come out of the factory that way.

What I am looking for is help measurements of the main blade.

I do not have one like it to compare to.

Mine does fit short in the frame when closed. Length blade is 3" from bolster to tip. Knife close is 4 1/4"
