Who's Making Those New Winchesters???

Post by jerryd6818 »

I was looking for something else on SMKW and decided to check out the Winchesters. I had it in my mind that all the new Winchesters were made in the Far East and are selling for around 20 bucks.

Who makes these?

Not an advertisement for SMKW. Just three examples of what I'm talking about.

Not sure Jerryd but the gunstock reminds me of a S&M \ Queen with the double pulls. SMKW seems to be doing alot of SFO lines with them nowdays.
Just my 2.3 cents.

I'm curious about this as well. They certainly look like Queen made knives, and Queen did make the Winchester reproductions for many years. So maybe they are still making the high end Winchesters for Bluegrass Cutlery. On the other hand, someone told me that Bluegrass Cutlery now has their own in-house knife manufacturing. I have no proof of the truth of that claim.

Folding Winchesters are from Blugrass Cutlery (and still made by Queen) and the Winchester fixed blades have been coming out of China for several years now. I THINK Bluegrass is set up for assembly (not yet ready to manufacture from my source who lives near there).

i know queen made the reproductions for blue grass in the 80s and early 90s, but i thought they got away from winchesters for the rest of 1900 and into most of 2000
