Sheffield Slater Brothers Bowie

This is a venture, slater brothers bowie that I have picked up amongst my sheffield stuff, a massively built knife with the stock metal being over 1/4" thick. Stag scales, even patina. Circa: 1892-1905 I believe. It came out of a barn in Arkansas, it was found laying on a high board shelf, they found it when they torn down the barn. The top of the blade is fluted this is a no noncense cowboy bowie.

can you post a pic of the tang markings, and the handles?

The marrkings are hand forged, sheffield, with a faint eng underneath on one side and venture on the other.

I just traded this bowie for a pair of knives I sold early this year for 550, will miss it it was a fine piece.
