Question about a 1987 NKCA Knife

Post by emw12 »

I have recently won a 1987 NKCA knife on eBay (under $40.00). It is a Case jigged green bone pattern 45 1/2 in mint condition. My question is does anyone know if this knife was stamped with an extra 6. The knife I received is stamped 66345 1/2. This was in the sellers description but I assumed it was a typo.

Hi. The IBCA Price Guide to Commemorative Knives by J. Bruce Voyles has the pattern # on that knife as G6345 1/2. It was made in a quantity of 7000 and it sold for $85 originally. In mint condition the BOOK value is $100, but as most people will tell you the best indicator of a knifes value is what they are selling for on ebay. I hope this helps you out.

Thanks Butch. I had to get my 30X glass out to see it but it is a G. With anything lower than 30 X including your eye it looks like two 6's. Thanks again fot the info.
