Camillus Tang stamp Question

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

Camillus Tang stamp Question

Post by ibele-finley »

Does anyone know when Camillus began to use their most recent (and last I presume) tang stamp? The one with a capital "C" and a capital "S" (CamilluS) with lines above and below, and New York U.S.A. below.

Thanks a lot msteele6. Your article was dead on. This came outta Tom Williams' mouth passed to me via Wallace "The NY Knife Wizard" yesterday: The subject tang was first introduced in 1989 and was on the entire product line by 1990. Now we all know. ::ds::
