collector knives?
Recently had a relative pass away that was big into knives. He traded all types, and I have heard him mention kissing cranes, case, hen and roosters etc. Question? Now I am developing an interest, quality wise and resale wise, which are the top of the line/ THANKS MUCH.

welcome rudyboy. that's a tough question. some collect only one brand, or one pattern and others collect everything. all the knives you mention are collectable and valuable. some more some less. buy reference books or check them out of your local library and read about knives. watch ebay sales and you can see the various knives and what they sell for in real life go to knife shows if you have any near. read the older posts on this sight and you can gain a lot of knowledge. ask questions. good luck but be careful, knife collecting is very addictive.

Welcome. Future and resale value is a crapshoot. Collect what you enjoy. Do remember if you collect brand new, newly issued knives, andf pay retail price, it will take nearly forever to recoup your costs.

Handle knives and read about them before making your decision.

You see he too just loved the handles and steel and shapes of many diff knives. I look at them like super girl models. The I add a value to them not a $$$ signs.
