question about CASE XX fixed blade

Post by songsingingman »

Hey Fellows,
I picked this knife up at auction not in the best of shape but it intregied me. Has angled lines on blade and leather handle,
a hex nut for a pummael. It says CASE XX on blade not on tang and under the CASE XX it has the numbers 431-6. Any info
would be appericated. I'm thinking maybe a military knife ? don't know though.

This was a Case XX kitchen (butcher) knife that originally had a wooden handle . It has been "re-engineered" for use as a hunting knife .
