QUEEN RED STAG BOWIE - "1 OF 50"

Howdy Boys,

Just bought this one tonight for a good price (I think?) for $62.00, did I score? ....Shes a large Bowie pattern with Genuine Red Stag handles, the knife measures 10 1/2" long and blade measures 6" long - 1 of 50 ever made with Red Stag handles, mint with the original sheath & box, never sharpened or carried - main blade etch reads -----------------------------------> Classic/ Queen Cutlery CO/ Red Stag

that is a nice red un, roger. i like the shield. don't see many on fixed blade knives.

Hey Roger,

You have one very nice Queen Classic there, if my funds were not already committed to another group of knives I would have given you a little competition for that there Red Stag...

I believe you got yourself a pretty good deal on the final price of that beauty....Only time will tell on the collector's standpoint of the knife but I would be willing to give it a shot at that great price...

I'm watching one on e-bay just like this but w/white stag. Is there a difference in value between red and white stag? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

i'm watching it as well. i guess we'll see what someone will pay for it and compare it to roger's. i would obviously prefer the red stag. ebay is a fickle woman when it comes $ for value.

Ifin ya'll are looking for another Queen Red Stag close to mine check this one out on ebay ----> item number #180056893291 ....This is the same seller I won my knife from & I must say he must have close to half of all the 1 of 50's made in this handle as he has been posting one to two a week for three months now!

Well men I WON this RED STAG but had to go up to $73.50 to get it.
I think this is my first real red stage knife for me.
Looked to me like srich bid $72.50 max, and to me he looks like a dealer that would hold it for 6 mo. Then sell it again.
Roger looks like you got a real good deal on yours.

I think you got a good deal as well old pard , I have been watching everyone of these knives with this handle this seller (gone-knifin) has been posting from the start & the closing prices have been ranging from the lowest for $88 to the highest for $115 except for one that had handles that didn't match very well in color (light on one side & the other side was dark) fetch the same price I got mine for ($62) ....My own personal opinion is that we both did well my knifer friend!

I was biddin' on that one, but bought a different one and had to back off. Glad to see someone got it that would enjoy it instead of trying to flip it in 6 months.

Did you note that my photo is yours? No camera yet.

I did note that on mine the handles are not super on both sides but the main side looks kool to me. How does the knife fell in your hand?
When you hold it what do you want to cut with her?

I had a hundred $ to spend, but bought the custom Schrade from muskrat man. The one with solid brass handles. Pics of it are in the custom forum.

Mine feels good in the hand & is well balanced to boot, fit & finish are great in my opinion! ....Don't want to do any cuttin with her, think I will just leave her in "mint in box condition"

I have tried the e-mail address & phone number provided by them on that site ----> Ontario Knife Company , (800) 222-5233 .... I phoned them & left a message, e-mailed them a letter but got no reply from them, this took place around the last part of Nov? ....Have you or any other knifers here on this site been able to have contact with them?

hey roger i contacted by email about a week ago. they wrote back in about six days. diane stanbro is their customer service person. was kinda slow on the return, but she had the answer to my question.

Their email is [email protected] but that is likely to go directly to the sister company in Franklinville NY and not be very useful. I'd use the 800 number and talk to a real person at Queen 800-222-5233 or 814-827-3673 if the 800 number doesn't work for you. They are good people who take us customers seriously. Hope this helps.
