Talking Knives

Post by GeorgeCAtl »

Just wanted to start a little discussion on a problem I'm having.

I have been collecting knives for while now----no particular specialty----mostly fixed blades, but more recently folders.
I'm not a big poster, but I visit several knife sites and read alot. I'm very impressed by the knowledge and comradeship I see on this site.

I purchased a 2010 AAPK club knife with Interior Ram's Horn handles when they first came available. This was my first knife by GEC. I really was pleased with this knife. I have spent alot of time on GEC's site and visited several of their onsite distributors.

So.......here's my problem. I have found that these knives really speak to me. I am spending way too much time on collectorknives.net and every time I seem to find another one I must have. I've already bought three this month and have several more queued up.....waiting on me to pull the trigger.

Oh the madness................

Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes. CollectorKnifes is a great site though, isn't ::tu::

Hay GeorgeCAt,

I also was just recently infected by the GEC line of knives. Aint they something!!!.
They appeal to me in several ways. Not you run of the mill patterns but their take on them. Quality that takes a back seat to none. Limited numbers. I'll stop here almost out of breath.
Collectors knives .net ::tu:: ::tu:: ::tu:: I have searched everywhere and cannot find a better selection or price.

I think I here the mail carrier got to go see.
Good Luck \ Fun,

I'm impatiently waiting on my latest shipment. I also bought a new DSLR camera I'm looking forward to using, so I'll get a few photos up soon.

Your not alone Georgecatl, those knives also speak to me. It realy gets bad when more than one gets talking. I just had to buy a half congress cherry wood to quiet one of them down.

The new camera is a work in progress..........I just fired it up and snapped a few. Now I need to read the manual and see what it can do.

The handle material is Mammoth Ivory. This is #8 of 9 made in this configuration from 2009.

Thanks George!
I love the look of Mammoth Ivory, but the cost is usually out of my comfort zone. Great looking stuff though! ::tu::
