Schrade scrimshaw pins?

Post by knifemaker3 »

Hey guys,

Are the pins on a Scrhade USA scrimshaw sc501 the swendon keys or whatever they were called? Or are they just cutler's rivets? I've not repaired many of the schrade knives before....

I have one that came to the shop for repair and was just curious if the cutlers rivets would work ok so I don't have to redrill anything.

Thoughts?

Thanks!
God Bless!

SC501 is a fixed blade yes? those are rivets. Swinden keys are used in most of the folding knives, the way it works wouldn't be possible on a fixedblade.

Darksev, that's what I thought but I wanted to ask before ordering rivets.

Thanks!
