Pics of my setup/extended introduction/post your display?

Post by victoryanthems »

So I have been working on my basement. It is my grandmothers old house and since it already had the dated "log cabin" theme going on, I stuck with it. I moved all my collection downstairs and even though I am not totally set up, I wanted to post some pics in hopes that some of you guys that display your knives might post as well. I have been collecting since I was born. My grandmother started collections for us cause she went to flea markets all the time. I had a lot of years where I didn't buy much or even unpack my knives but these days I am back on track and loving it. I collect all pocket knives for the most part. From cheaper advertisement knives to the nicest new knife (if my budget allows). I like peanuts a lot though. This is really my 2nd introduction as I have been on the site for a while now, I just dont post a whole lot. Well I hope you enjoy the pictures and post some as well!!

Main corner, floor display is getting set up to house peanuts only.

Working on this floor display, will be for my SMKW christmas trappers only, with room to spare for years to come.

Displays that I need to concentrate on getting knives for.

Counter came out of am old hardware store in Missouri. Not a Case product but has the old sticker and plays the part well.

I like it a lot! Your knife room is bigger than my whole apartment, and a whole lot better decorated.

Wow...Impressive!

Do you hire out for decorating/setup????? LOLOLO

I have a fairly large collection with displays and such ...I'm trying to set my room up and I haven't a clue where to start!
Rigth now I just have everything loaded up against a single wall, on display, just not displayed properly in my opinion

Awesome "mancave"! Wish I had a knife temple like that.

Are there any dampness issues being a basement and all? It looks like it was finished out real nice, so probably not, but I ask because my shop is in my basement, which is unfinished.

While not damp or wet, it is a basement, for the most part unheated, and the environment does encourage rust to form on some of my tools and knives that have been down there for awhile.

Thanks for sharing.

UPDATE!!!

Post by victoryanthems »

Been real busy but finally had time tonight to sit and put together the display I am gonna use for peanuts only. The picture in the middle is the story that I wrote for Cases "share your story" contest and it is about a peanut that was my dads. The knife above it is the one they sent me when I won. Not much but enjoy!
