Hello everyone;

My name is George and I reside in Spokane, Washington and Sandpoint, Idaho...I am recently retired and have been collecting knives for about eighteen months.

When I retired...it was difficult to adjust to not being mentally engaged with work...it was all I knew for so long and I needed something to get my mind focused on. Having studied martial arts in my early years and being a fan of Bruce Lee and reader of Miyamoto Musashi, "Book of Five Rings" I was always enthralled by knives and swords... I purchased a half dozen books on collecting Japanese swords and quickly concluded that it could be a costly hobby being so complex...So I navigated to knives...

I looked at both Case and Remingtons and I do not want to offend anyone...I was drawn to the Remington Bullet knives, but I do own some case as well...I primarily am attracted to knives that I like, the investment is secondary, but I always want to get a good value! I also am attracted to RH Ruana Bowies...I own about a dozen of those and am always on the look out for others...

Since I have started I nearly have a complete set of old original bullets a complete set of the new bullets and a hundred or so other Remingtons...

I really enjoy matching a knife and figuring out what model it is and looking for a diamond here and there....

I have been out there on my own and am excited to connect with others that have the same passion....who knows perhaps we my help each other out....I am new and somewhat green, but a quick study...I am opinionated but open minded, most of all I am pasionate about life and the things I spend my time on, I believe in God, Family, community, responcibility and our countrys constitution, that is whats left of it...

Welcome George,
I do believe there are quite a few Remington collectors that belong to this friendly site. There should be a lot of resources for you and many that would enjoy pictures of your knives. Welcome!
