Sheath for 112 & 110

Hoyt Buck produced the first Buck Knife in 1902. Hoyt and his son Al moved to San Diego and set up shop as H.H. Buck & Son in 1947. Al Buck revolutionized the knife industry in 1964 with the infamous Model 110 Folding Hunter. The company's innovative history and attention to quality have made for many great collectible knives.

Sheath for 112 & 110

Post by wazu013 »

Can anybody tell me when and why Buck changed their position of the belt loop on the sheaths for the 112 & 110's. After years of loyal work by my 110 sheath I deceided to buy a new one. Thank god I didn't toss my old one. The new one sits to high on my belt and constantly rubs against my side. The old one had a loop that allowed it to sit low on the belt and out of the way. The new one also has a piece of who knows what covering the inside of the snap and leaves black glue on the brass. Now I find myself buying old 112's &110's on Ebay just so I can get my hands on an old sheath. I know this is crybaby at it's best but the deseigner should be forced to carry the Buck chinese line only and leave the American made products alone. Bucks sheaths were some of the best factory supplied sheaths around. Now I have to buy a custom made sheath made by a Case collector who sits and laughs at the total disreguard for the R&D it takes to make a change on an item that was perfect for many years but probably not as cheap as the new ones that have all the earmarks of a goat bladder made up in the mountains of China, right next to the Chevy frame parts that the same workers make after they put in their 14 hours of shoe and sheath making. ::td::
So Sorry,

useem,
It's been a while since I looked at this post but I would love to get any lowriders you might find in your stash. I must have gone through 8 or 10 112s and 110s trying to get that nice sheath to put my EDC in. If you don't find any thanks for the effort anyway.
