here is what I believe to be a made by hammerbrand "Sterling" knife.
I can make out the Sterling but underneeth I'm not sure what it says..

anyway Sterling was a trade mark of Mcllwaine,linn&hughes 1896-1914.
the Sterling name was over stamped on a Hammerbrand knife..according to (Goins)
